Sony Ericsson K850i 5 megapixel Cyber-Shot handset was announced while ago, but it's not available yet. Users were waiting for Sony Ericsson to announced 5 megapixel camera phone since Nokia announced the all-in-one device, called N95. Now we know that 5 megapixel device is coming, but do you think Sony Ericsson is still behind Nokia? I'm sure K850i will be a great device and the camera is probably great, but is camera really the only feature that users a looking for? At least I would like to have build-in GPS and WiFi. Nokia N95i have them, but K850i doesn't...
We want high-end phone with high-end featuresSony Ericsson made some strange choices when they announced K850i and W960i. They both got some great features, but the problem is that you can't have device that has all the features you would like to have. Basically, if you want a phone with 5 megapixel camera, your only option is the K850i... How about if you would like to have a phone with Walkman player, 5 megapixel camera and WiFi? Then you have to take a look some other mobile phone manufacturer, because Sony Ericsson can't offer a phone with those features. You have to think, which one is more important for you, camera of WiFi connection. Then have to make the choose between K850i and W960i.
Sony Ericsson is announcing same phones over and over again
Well, this isn't only Sony Ericsson's problem. Especially Nokia did announce a lot of phones with the same specs but different design... Looks like Sony Ericsson is following Nokia. For example, lets think think about phones like K800i, K810i and K770i. They all have 3,2 megapixel camera and all the basic features... Basically K810i and K770i are just K800i with new design...
Looks like this the only way to gain more market share... You need to please all customers...
How about the end of 2007?Are we going to see any big things this year or is Sony Ericsson done? I think we won't see anything big, probably Sony Ericsson will have one or two announcement days left... Maybe they will announce some low and mid-end phones. I might be wrong and actually I hope that Sony Ericsson will surprise me!
The thing I would like to see is a mid-end phone with build-in GPS and of course an all-in-on device with 5 megapixel camera, GPS and WiFi.
Unfortunately, if I remember right, I read from some site that Sony Ericsson is not going to release an all-in-on device. They are concentrating on music and camera features separately. This mean you cant have phone with Walkman music features and high-end camera. You need to choose what is the most important feature for you.
