Sony Ericsson's aswer to the Nokia N95?

Few weeks ago Nokia announced the new Nokia N95 multimedia device. So what's so special of this new phone? Well, it has 5 megapixel camera. Yes you heard right, 5 megapixel camera! That's why I want to speculate a little bit what Sony Ericsson is going to do and how they are going to compete with Nokia.

We all know that Sony Ericsson K800i beats or at least it did beat all Nokia phones when it comes to photo quality, but things might changes because N95 sounds a very good device "N95 has an impressive 5 megapixel camera with Carl-Zeiss optics, autofocus and the capability of recording videos at DVD-like quality." Huh! Sony Ericsson really need to do something and fast, but of course N95 won't be available until the first quarter of 2007.

The aswer: Sony Ericsson K850? K900?

I'm pretty sure that Sony Ericsson is going to release a new K series phone quite soon, probably before end of this year. I'm quite dissapointed if this won't happend.

New K series phone could be K850 or K900, right?

What kind of features this new Sony Ericsson camera phone would have? At least it should have a 4 or 5 megapixel Cypershot camera and good video recording quality. I know that more megapixel don't always mean better photos, but does average mobile phone user know that? If they are buying a new camera phone and seller says that this phone has 5 megapixel and this one 4 megapixels. I'm quite sure thet the customer will buy the 5 megapixel one even that the 4 megapixel one takes better photos. Customer just doesn't know that because they think that more megapixels is better photos. That's why it's important to have at least 4 megapixels.

Of course this new phone needs more that a good camera. The design need to be good and tempting, because we all know that design is a very important thing. Customer don't want an ugly phone.
