Which Sony Ericsson phone I should buy?

This question seems to be very popular and I see it almost every day on some Sony Ericsson forum. Everytime people ask the same question: "should I buy XXXX or XXXX phone?" or "Which one is better?" Forums are full of these questions. Usually it's very hard to aswer this kind of question, because the questioner don't give any information, like what kind of phone he or she needs.

When you are thinking to buy a new phone, you really should think that do you really need a new phone and what are you needs. Do you need smartphone, camera phone, music phone or maybe high-end phone, which has all these features?

If you need a smartphone you should take a look models like M600i and P990i, and now you ask which one is better? Well, if you need smartphone with camera you probably want P990i, otherwise you should take a look at M600i. Also you could take a look at P910 which is a little bit older model, but still very a good phone.

You want a camera phone? Then I would recommend you take look of Sony Ericsson K800i or K790i phones. Both phones got a 3,2 MP camera and the only difference is that K800 is a 3G (UMTS) phone... Take K790i if you dont need video calls!

W-series phones are for people who are looking for music phone. At the moment there are 9 different Walkman phone, so you really need to think what you need. Do you want clamshell music phone? or maybe music phone a with good camera? If you want clamshell phone you should take a looks phones like W300i and W710i, otherwise you should take a look at phones like W810i and W700i. Those phones are almost identicals so I would recommend you to think which one looks better and then buy that one. Then there is this high-end walkman phone, W950i, which has no camera, but I has 4GB internal memory. W950i also has a big touche screen. Yes W950i is already out! Sony Ericsson W950i is for real music people, who don't need a camera.

Sony Ericsson W850i might be a good music phone too. It's also a little bit different Walkman phone, because it has new design and if you like it then this phone might be for you.

There are also some good mid-end phones. Sony Ericsson K610i is a great mid-end phone. It has cool design and 2 MP camera, but it's almost equal with W700 and W810, so you need to think which one is for you.

Of course there are people who really don't need any of these features. They just want a phone, which is easy to use. Luckily there are phones for those people too. Sony Ericsson J220i is a low-end phone. It has no camera, but it has a good color screen and it's quite cheap. J230i is almost equal with J220i. Only difference is radio.
