The R300 and the R302 are the first phones that follows this new nomenclature.
So, how this new naming scheme works? Well, take a look at the photo below:

Sony Ericsson W910i Walkman handset has been awarded Best Handset at the GSM Association’s 13th Global Mobile Awards 2008. Sony Ericsson W910i left behind great handsets, such as Nokia 6500 Classic and Samsung SGH-G600. The W910i was launched last year and it's designed for entertainment; whether music, 3D games, video, or high-speed Web access. It’s also geared to let consumers choose their music just the way they want it. Applications such as Shake control enable them to flick the phone to control games or skip and shuffle between music tracks while SenseMeTM lets them discover music to match their mood and tempo. With its 1GB Memory Stick Micro provided in box, the W910 Walkman phone can hold over 900 songs with room for plenty more thanks to its expandable memory.

Sony Ericsson today launched a Mobile World Congress mini site. The MWC will take place at Barcelona on 11-14 of February. The mini site has some interesting information about the event. Sony Ericsson will have an exhibition stand and you will have the opportunity to get hands-on with what's new from Sony Ericsson; from those products that continue the Wlakman and Cyber-shot phone stories to those that open completely new chapters.
This sounds very interesting. Maybe the new chapter they are talking about is the new G-series?

Nokia 6300 is number one at Krusell’s Top 10 list for the 2nd consequent month. Six out of ten phones on the list are Nokia which reflects their strong position on the market. Having Apple iPhone on our top ten list shows two things, says Ulf Sandberg MD at Krusell. Firstly, iPhone buyers are eager to equip their device with a well designed case, and secondly Krusell has gained market shares in North America over the past period, since iPhone is not so widely spread in Europe yet, he ends.

Sony Ericsson had a great success in 2007. They sold over 100 million phones, gained more market share and announced great handsets, such as the K850i and P1i. Now the year 2007 is behind us and Jens Greve, Head of Sony Ericsson Developer World, shares his thoughts on the past and his excitement about the plans for 2008.
2007 was a great year for Sony Ericsson as we sold more phones than ever before – over 100 million globally. As Sony Ericsson continues to grow, so does Sony Ericsson Developer World. Yesterday Sony Ericsson announced deals with 10 major record labels: Sony BMG, Warner Music Group, EMI, The Orchard, IODA, The PocketGroup, Hungama, X5 Music, Bonnier Amigo and VidZone, adding over 5 million new tracks to its extensive catalogue. Sony Ericsson also unveiled the design and URL for PlayNow arena and launched PlayNow Uncut, (formerly M-Buzz) a music promotional space for new, unsigned and developing artists.
Sony Ericsson introduced PlayNow in February 2004 as the easiest way to pre-listen and then purchase polyphonic ringtones directly to your phone. The service has proved a hit with consumers and is now available in 32 countries around the world, with annual free and premium downloads through both PlayNow and Fun & Downloads having reached more than 200 million. Since launch, the scope of the service has expanded to mirror the functionality of Sony Ericsson’s phones to include mastertones (MP3 ringtones), games, full music tracks, themes and wallpapers.
