Sony Magazine - PSP-Style phone is in development

It's time to bring the PSP phone rumor in the public again. This time some Sony Magazine reader noticed something interesting. The magazine says "A new PSP-STYLE PHONE is apparently in development. There are even suggestion that it could be in the shops as early as February." Sounds pretty interesting but it's actually nothing new. We have heard this kind of rumors before and even Jim Ryan from Sony Computer sated that PSP phone is "definitely plausible"

Anyways, I was digging our archive and found other rumor that also claims that Sony Ericsson will announce gaming phone in February. Well, it's already 15th of February. Let's see what happens!

Sony Ericsson to announce WiFi Enabler and other cool accessories?

These days WiFi is a very important feature and it future I'm quite sure most of the phones will have WiFI built-in. Just a few days ago Sony Ericsson announced some handsets with WiFi, such as the G900 and XPERIA X1, but there are a lot of great phones already out or coming that doesn't have WiFi built-in. Luckily, it looks like Sony Ericsson is working for a accessory, called WiFi Enabler. Sony Ericsson G700's white paper has a mention about the WiFi Enabler, so we can be quite sure that we will see WiFi Enabler sooner or later.

Sony Ericsson G900's white paper has mention about three new GPS accessories: GPS Car Handsfree, GPS enabler II and GPS Sport. Sound pretty interesting! I assume the GPS enabler II is the successor of the HGE-100.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 comes with WM 6.5?

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Windows Mobile smartphone was announced few days ago. We know that XPERIA will have some great features, such as GPS, HSDPA, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and much more. What we don't know is that if Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 will have the Windows Mobile version 6 or a newer version. Mobile review recently published a nice article about Sony Ericsson's new handsets. In the article they mentioned that the XPERIA X1 will come with Windows Mobile version 6.5 and Sony Ericsson isn't allowed to show more demos of the XPERIA X1 because it runs the new version of Widows Mobile. The WM 6.5 will debut in September or October and it will bring some major changes to the interface.

Sounds interesting but I hope this doesn't mean that the XPERIA won't be out until Sep/Oct.

Sony Ericsson bringing waterproof Cyber-shot handset?

a while ago we got some information about a new Cyber-shot handset, and now we got some new information to share. This new handset will have 3.2 megapixel camera with flash but the interesting thing is that this Cyber-shot handset will be waterproof.

This looks very interesting! I wonder if this phone will also be shockproof? In my opinion this handset doesn't look good but if this really is a waterproof handset it would be a nice addition to Sony Ericsson's portfolio.

Sony Ericsson to announce K820i at 3GSM?

semcblog got again some exclusive information. According to the site Sony Ericsson will announce a new Cyber-shot phone, called the K820i. Basically, the K820i will be K850i with new design, just like the K810i was redesigned K800i.

Sony Ericsson launching a new G-series?

We have already hear some rumors about new accessories, which should be announced a day before the Mobile World Congress. Now I found some interesting information about new phones, which should also be announced on 10th of February. According to the m-one at SE-World website Sony Ericsson will announce a new G-series (Compact Touch Series). m-one is talking about new handsets, called G900i and G700i. Sony Ericsson G900i (Tyra) will have 2.6 inch screen, WLAN and 5 megapixel camera, while the G700i (Josephine) will also have 2.6 inch screen and 3.2 megapixel camera but no WLAN.

Sounds pretty interesting! I wonder if these phones will be full touchscreen devices, I mean like Apple's iPhone. I can't wait to see what happens on Sunday!

Sony Ericsson announcing new accessories on 10th of February?

According to the semcblog Sony Ericsson will be announcing new accessories on 10th of February. We know that Mobile World Congress 2008 takes place in Barcelona on 11-14 February, so it might be that we will hear some interesting news on Sunday, just before the the MWC.

The list of accessories:

Is this the next Sony Ericsson Cyber-Shot device?

I found some interesting photos. This definitely won't be a K850i successor but according to the rumor this phone will have 16 million color QVGA (320x240) screen and 3 or 5 megapixel camera. Unfortunately this Cyber-Shot handset will not have Xenon flash.
