Sony Ericsson to stop developing firmware for P990/W950/M600

It's official now! Sony Ericsson won't be releasing new firmwares for the P990/W950/M600 any more. This means we have to live with all the bugs that these phones still have. I was hoping that Sony Ericsson would release atleast one new firmware for M600i, because they just released a new firmware for the P990/W950.

Sony Ericsson PC Suite available for Window Vista on June 28th

Sony Ericsson will announce new PC Suite version on June 28th and it will be vista compatible. The first Vista compatible version will support about half of the Sony Ericsson phone portfolio, including for example W880i, K810i, K800i and more. Next half will be available on August 9th and it will add vista compatibility for the older models (K750i, W800i, W810i etc.).

YouTube for Mobile devices

YouTube Mobile is finally live! Now we can watch YouTube videos with mobile phones. All videos in YouTube Mobile are in 3GP format, which is more mobile friendly than Flash. YouTube recommends that you upgrade to an unlimited data plan with your mobile service provider to avoid additional charges. Of course 3G data is also highly recommended. I tried YouTube mobile fisrt with basic GSM data and it's slow... then I turned 3G on and videos ran perfectly.

New firmware for P990i and W950i

New firmware for W950i and P990i are now available on SEUS. R6D22 for W950i brings new payment transactions menu, speed dial previews are not distorted and more free operating memory.

R6D23 for P990i brings more improvements. You will have more free operating memory, menus are much faster, music update is faster, camera seems to be fixed, web browser is also faster (new Opera version), alarm is loud, auto keylock is default now and a new menu has been added under control panel/others: payment transaction menu.
